Important Information.

League AGM: This will be at Kidsgrove Chess Club on Thursday July 10th. All clubs are allowed to have one vote, and all committee members are also allowed a vote. The meeting starts at 8pm and the agenda will be on here as soon as is available. Due to changes in the way grades are calculated being brought in for 2009, the committee voted to propose no changes to be made to the top divisions for 2008-2009. A division 5 of grading limit 280 will also be proposed. Website Problems: Due to the way the website is designed, there are problems with showing Rapidplay scorecards. This is because many players have no rapidplay grade and so this is causing problems. The tables and results are correct, as are the player stats, the only problem is that players grades aren't showing. I will look to find a cure for this asap. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

This website is intended to provide information to anyone interested in playing chess in North Staffordshire and surrounding areas. It contains details of clubs, league officers, the associations constitution and rules, fixtures, league tables, scorecards and Junior Chess. There are other pages related to chess in the area, anyone interested in joining a club can find details on each club in the club directory. The Constitution.

The constitution states “Any club whose home venue is within thirty kilometres of Hanley Bus Station shall be eligible for membership of the Association.“. The league currently has 10 Clubs playing in 4 divisions, 4 cups and the Rapidplay League. About the NSDCA >>
